Post Doctoral Fellowship In Hepatology

Institute of Liver disease and transplantation, Gleneagles Global Health City, a Parkway Pantai initiative, under the leadership of Prof. Mohamed Rela, is the most successful liver transplant program in India with experience of over 2000 liver transplants. The hallmark of the program is its multidisciplinary approach to the management of liver related problems. The adult hepatology team has three full time consultants who participate in the integrated care of patients with liver disease including pre-operative management, peri-transplant ICU management and post transplant followup.

We are offering a one year post doctoral fellowship program in Transplant Hepatology. The fellow will gain experience in the management of patients with acute liver failure, acute-on-chronic liver failure, decompensated cirrhosis, pre-transplant optimisation including the use of extracorporeal liver support systems. The department has a strong clinical & academic program with weekly multi-disciplinary tumor board meetings, twice weekly structured post transplant follow-up clinics and transplant listing meetings. The fellow will also be expected to participate in the department’s clinical research programs and help in developing new research protocols in collaboration with National and International units.
