Dr Vignesh Sakthivel has an overall of experience of 19 years and is currently working as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Gleneagles Global Health City. He has managed a highly complicated, violent and hard to manage patient group in a specialist PICU. He has received accolades for efficient management of PICU patients with complex needs in an efficient way. He provides clinical supervision to psychiatric trainees, specialty grade doctors and NMPs. He has contributed actively in various initiatives in reducing DNA rates, implementing New Ways of Working, etc. He has knowledge of legal frameworks including mental capacity, power of attorney, court of protection and guardianship orders. He took part in the Introduction Plenary (Psychiatry) for the Medical Students at the Royal Liverpool University and conducted Small Groups Role Play. He has been involved as the regional lead consultant (RLC) in conducting and supervising several clinical audits and some of them are ongoing and also been involved in fact finding, death reviews and root cause analyses.
