About

Dr M Srinivas has an overall experience of 25 years. After his basic medical degree from Stanley Medical College (Chennai), he pursued higher training and practiced medicine in the UK for 13 years. He has been with Gleneagles Global Health City since 2011, when he returned to India.

Besides being an astute clinician, he is a proficient endoscopist (gastroscopy and colonoscopy). He is a leading clinician in motility disorders and has published research papers on esophageal manometry in high impact international journals based on clinical work done in our hospital. He is also trained in performing and interpreting video capsule endoscopy.

His areas of special interest include Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative colitis), esophageal / anorectal motility disorders and bile acid malabsorption.

He has presented various abstracts in the British, American and Indian Society of Gastroenterology annual conferences with some being recognized with prizes. Further, he has authored several publications in leading peer reviewed medical journals.

He is the past Editor-in-chief of an e-journal, Clinical Medicine Insights: Gastroenterology and is on the Editorial Board of the Indian Journal of Gastroenterology.

Being an enthusiastic teacher, he was an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sheffield responsible for undergraduate medical teaching and currently mentors DNB students attached to the Department in our Centre and teaches in the final year Physician Assistant Program run by our Institution. He is also the Clinical Lead in the Institutional Ethics Committee of our Hospital.
