What is Arthroscopy?

Arthroscopy is a procedure that is used to diagnose and treat joint treatment. In this procedure, the surgeon inserts a narrow tube attached to a fibre-optic video camera through a buttonhole-sized incision. After it is inserted, the view inside the joint of the patient is transmitted to a high-definition video monitor for the doctor to observe the patient. It is performed to confirm a diagnosis which is made after a physical examination and other imaging tests such as MRI, CT scan or X-rays. Through arthroscopy, our surgeons can see inside your joint without making a large incision. We have some of the best arthroscopy surgeons in Bangalore who repair some types of joint damage during arthroscopy with pencil-thin surgical instruments which are inserted through additional small incisions.
